The maximum loan amount in Georgia and in the Metro Atlanta area has been increased to $715,000 as of September, 2022.
This means that if you are looking for purchase a single family home, a condo or a multi-family, you may obtain financing up to this amount with a minimum 3% down payment for first-time homebuyers. If you have been a homeowner within the last 5 years, you can get a conventional loan with a down payment as low as 5%.
If you are looking for a loan amount larger than $715,000, we would recommend taking advantage of a Jumbo loan.
